    Burning to CD using AShampoo

I am aware that the blank 700 MB Imation CD's I am using have a capacity of 80 minutes but seem to recall reading somewhere that it is possible to squeeze a little more on to them however, just now I tried to burn 82 minutes of audio to one but it refused. Is there in fact any way to exceed the 80 minutes or is that the absolute maximum they will take? Regards S Fox.

I'd not count on being able to get more than 80 minutes.

I also use Ashampoo and I don't know of any "feechurs" that would let you cram the disk. It wouldn't be much and I don't know how close it would get you to your needed 2 minutes but you could always eliminate the 2 second pause between songs.

Thanks gentlemen, looks like I will have to resort to DVD's if I am to burn some of the other lectures / sermons many of which are over an hour in length & the aged friend (age 97) to whom I loan the media, can play them through his tv. Having said that Big Al it will become obvious that there are no pauses between tracks as there are with music so the 2 minutes in question [which incidentally was because I tried to burn a sermon of 48 minutes plus one of 34 minutes] cannot even be accommodated. As the Ausies would say....No worries..... there is always an alternative. Thanks again S Fox

As my Daddy would have said: " Ach du Lieber! " I might should have known you were talking about continuous audio, Dave! Well, good luck with your other alternatives...

Thanks Big Al...... why the change of Avata? .....you could have donned a Santa hat to complement you beard etc. Hope you had a pleasant Christmas and have as peaceful a new year as the chaos in the economy will allow. Three cheers for Woody's Lounge..... don't know what we'd do without it. SF

    >>>> why the change of Avata?

Jezza made that one for me, goodness, I think it was 3 or 4 years ago and I like it because it includes my wife, Billie. Merry Christmas...
