Losing sound upon uploading PPT (PowerPoint 2003)

    Hello,

I recently created a PPT presentation with sound. I didn't embed the sound because I didn't want to convert the WMA file to WAV and thus increase the size of teh file. So I linked it.

When I uploaded the PPT to the internet, I lost the sound. I don't understand why. I created folders on the web site that match those on my computer and uploaded the song to the web site as well. For example, if on my computer the document was located in PPT/sounds/WMV, I created a folder WMV within folder sounds within PPT on teh web site. Shouldn't this be sufficient to get it to work?

BTW, I've also lost linked video, but I assume that that will get solved once I figure out hte problem causing me to lose sound.

    Regards,

    JMT

Try placing the sound and video files in the SAME folder as the presentation instead of in a subfolder, then relink.

Dear Hans: you are the man who solves all my problems (or at least the computer related ones).
