    opening or run a program

I am trying to run the microsoft office 2007 patch from either the desktop or the website instead of saving i tried to run this program and nothing happens. I've done this to 20 or more machines and they ran fine. From the desktop of this 1 machine i tried to right click and select open, i tried double clicking, it just sits there. I made an associate file to .exe. What is strange is that i can open other exe files that are on her desktop. do you have any other ideas?

Have you tried a different copy of the patch to see if it's the patch or the machine ??

Yes, i have tried that actually i am also getting an error while trying to update Microsoft windows error 0x8007007E i have been troubleshooting to register certain files, also redownloading mxml parser, then i needed to update the version of windows installer and i did. both of the programs ran fine and updated, then i tried windows update and the same error occurred, then i tried the microsoft office patch again and it didn't open. so it is something because it is not updated, but i am running out of ideas.

Check the system requirements for the patch. If the machine you are installing the patch on isn't configured correctly, the patch will not install. Example would be if the machine is Win2K SP3 and the patch will only install on a Win2K SP2, it wouldn't install on this system because the service pack is too advanced.

Unfortunately, you did not tell which update (KB number) you are trying to install.

Some Office 2007 updates do not intended to run on Windows 2000 machines. For instance, Service Pack 1 (KB936982) system requirements are: Windows XP SP-2, Server 2003 SP-1, Vista (all versions).
