    dubt on close statement (2000)

    dubt... clear me please.
    When use the statement .CLOSE on connection or rst is really required the statement SET XXXX=NOTHING?

    The statement variable.Close is essential. If you don't close the connection it will remain open.
    In most situations, a variable will be set to Nothing automatically at the end of the procedure or function. But it is still a good idea to use Set variable = Nothing in your code. There are some situations where Access will not set a recordset to Nothing automatically.
