    Wandering toolbars (Outlook 2003)

For some reason, a few weeks ago the toolbars that show on my basic email form started to wander. They started to occupy two separate lines instead of the ususal one. Now, one appears on top of the To/Cc/Subject area of the blank email screen. I tried fiddling around in Word and Outlook wihtout sucess. What could have started this erratic behavior and how do I "quiet down" these wandering toolbars? TYIA!

    Try this:
    - Start a new e-mail.
    - Select Tools | Customize...
    - Activate the Options tab.
    - If the check box "Standard and Formatting toolbars share one row" is clear, tick it and click OK.
    - If this check box was already ticked, clear it and click OK, then open the dialog again, tick the check box and click OK.

Drag them back where you want them and set View | Toolbars | Customize | Options as you want. Also there may be difference in the New Message Compose window menus corresponding to your default message type - HMTL, RTF, or Plain text.
