    calendar Control (2000)

    I have a date field on a form that I want to be able to populate from an active X calendar. I have placed a button next to the date, a calendar opens in another form, say form1.

    What coding would I need to put on the calendar update event to populate the date field.

    Many thanks, Darren.

    I wouldn't use the After Update event of the calendar control, this leaves no room for correcting a mistake.
    I'd put OK and Cancel buttons on Form1. The Cancel button simply closes the form, and the OK button uses code like this:

    Private Sub cmdOK_Click()
    Forms!OriginalForm!NameOfTextBox = Me.NameOfCalendar
    DoCmd.Close acForm, Me.Name, acSaveNo
    End Sub

    Substitute the appropriate names.
