    Copying E-mail Addresses (Word 2007)

I wanted to make a list of a bunch of e-mail addresses copuied from an e-mail I had received. In the e-mail as I received it, in to "To:" line, it had, as an example

    cwbillow@componentics.com, cwbillow@componentics.com, cwbillow@componentics.com

and I, after copying the e-mails over, edited them for a list in Word. But the default template in Word made them into

    cwbillow@componentics.com

    cwbillow@componentics.com

    cwbillow@componentics.com

so then I went back, selected them all, and changed the spacing to sinle, no added space before or after paragraphs, so that then it looked like

    cwbillow@componentics.com
    cwbillow@componentics.com
    cwbillow@componentics.com

But then the e-mail addresses weren't "active" anymore, until I went to the end of each line, hit delete, bringing the following line up to merge into the first, and then hit Cntrl-Enter, putting a return back into the line-end.

Then the e-mail addresses were "live" again.

How come that happened, and what did I do wrong to cause it, or, how might I prevent that in the future?

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

How exactly did you fix the line spacing etc.?

    Hans:

I had gone from the original single-line name, name, name to the (apparently) double-spaced single name per line just by going through the line deleting the comma and space, and hitting return.

Then, when I ended up with the double-spaced, I selected all the lines and went to the "Paragraph Forrmat box,and set the "spacing after" from .1 to 0. That then gave me the

    name
    name
    name

But these were then "dead" addresses.

Then l went to the beginning of each line, hit backspace, then Ctrl-Enter. That made the addresses "active" again.

    Regards,
    Chuck

I performed the same steps in Word 2003, and changing the paragraph formatting didn't affect the hyperlinks.
Perhaps someone who has Word 2007 can test it.
