Include Or Not (ms access 2007)

Supppose we have a form whose recordsource is a query.
For some of the fields in the query we have bounded controls on the form, for others we have not.
Suppose that the field "DeliveredQty" makes part of the query, but there is no bounded control foreseen for it on the form, because we do not want to display this value on the form.
If for some calculation we need the value of this field, can we still make a reference to that field in the our code as follows: Me!DeliveryQty or do we need to put a hidden control on the form for this field.

In the code behind a form, you can use Me.DeliveryQty or Me!DeliveryQty even if there is no control bound to DeliveryQty (it must be part of the record source of course).

This will *not* work for a report. If you want to refer to a field in code, you must place a (hidden) control bound to the field on the report.
