    schema ini to import text file.. (2000 and vb 6.0)

    I have see in (google) is possible to use scheam ini to import file with a fixed column... but dont know the use;-)
    I use peraphs each day a text file in my application in vb and vba...
    Is a good idea to leran about schema ini or...

    You can create import and export specifications in Access itself for use with DoCmd.TransferText.
    But if you want to use ADO to work with text files, you can use a schema.ini file to specify the properties of the text file.

    ok have see.... but for you is a godd idea about 234.000 c.a. of line in text file?

    ADO should be able to handle large text files, but the best way to find out is to experiment!
