Make call from Outlook using a Data card (Outlook 2003)

    Good day
Is there a way to configure Outlook contacts so that I can make a call using my MTN data card on my laptop?
When my data card is active ie when I am online, an error message appears telling me that I cannot make a call because it is being used by another device.
Any suggestions? ~Seems as if it only takes telephone lines.
    Regards

(Warning: Speculation Ahead!) Is that a card that connects with the cellular phone network? I think such cards emulate a modem when they connect to the network. The error is consistent with this theory, since a modem usually can connect to only one number at a time. Did you want your call to go out over the cellular network? Assuming you do not want to disconnect your data session, you might need to use a different program to make your "call" over the data connection. I imagine something like Skype could work, although I haven't tried it.

Yes, I want to make a call from my Outlook contacts using the data card which serves as the modem.
I believe your speculation is correct. Have not been able to find a work around yet.
    Thanks
