    Address Box Dropdown List (7.0)

Yesterday I used CCleaner to delete Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, Recently Typed URLs, Index.dat files and Last Download Location and now when I click the Address box dropdown arrow, nothing shows. I've been using it the whole day so I was expecting by now to already have items in the dropdown list. What do I have to do to make the list reappear?

Have you actually typed URLs into the address box? Visiting a site by selecting it from your Favorites or by clicking a link won't add it to the dropdown list.

However, if you start typing in the address box, you should see a dropdown list of visited sites that match what you typed.

Hi Hans, this morning I started the pc and when I click on the Address box dropdown arrow, the list is empty again! <img src=/S/confused3.gif border=0 alt=confused3 width=45 height=45> I typed a few URLs into the address box yesterday and I remember seeing them in the dropdown list, so how come they've disappeared again? I haven't used CCleaner since.

    Select Tools | Internet Options...
In the General tab, have you clicked Delete... in the Browsing History section?
If not, click Settings in the Browsing History section.
At the bottom of the dialog, you can specify how long your browsing history is kept.
