    Visual Basic Editor (2007)

I just installed Excel 2007 and have encountered an issue with the visual basic editor. It is greyed out and I am unable to access the editor.

I have double-check settings relative to the Excel Options in the Trust Center to ensure the Macro Settings are enabled and the Developer Macros Settings is checked.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why?

    Thanks,
    John

Check in the Add or Remove Programs control panel, Office 2007 > Change > Add or Remove Components (or something similar) that you have made Visual Basic available.

    Re: Visual Basic Editor (2007)

    Hans,

You were correct in stating that the VBA component needed to be installed. The VBA component is a shared feature and is not part of the Excel installation.

    Many thanks,
    John
