Nice work if you can get it. They forgot to say you have to clean the coral each morning with a soft toothbrush.

But it is nice to "work" up in them there parts for a bit. Some work I did involved materials used by the RAN for their underwater demolitions. They did a lot of their naval diver training on commercial ventures (you supply the money and we'll blow it up). To test this new material, someone had to go out on a couple of channel widening/ deepening jobs with the divers. An adversary... err, I mean colleague... jumped the queue ahead of me, no doubt wanting the free adventure and all the glory. He spent four days near Port Pirie on their project opening up the channel for large iron ore ships. He didn't want to go again so I had to settle for second place, and had to endure fifteen days on Daydream Island (and others nearby) opening up the channel for big high speed catamarans. The navy did about half the blasting that they did on the Port Pirie job, but as they wisely pointed out, you can't push yourself too hard in the tropics . Birds, beaches and beer had nothing to do with it!

Needless to say, my colleague buddy was none too pleased. Isn't it great when God just hands you one!

Apparently it's more about promoting the destination than really "needing" a person. It's certainly got attention- to the point where the server crashed with 40 hits per second.
