The non-hidden PublicPublic PicturesSample Pictures is worth a look. These are stock photos, suitable for desktop wallpaper. If you are setting up computers for clients, a decent wallpaper may be valuable, and there is a lot of software available to convert your own photos. The latest FREE Picasa is impressive.
Peter,
Hmmmmm, sorry but that is totally irrelevant to what I asked and to which Hans correctly answered. The question was in regard to the "userpic" (aka: user account picture) that is displayed on the Start Menu (default). There are several default .bmp images but I always like to add my own to further personalize my system.

You are correct about the question and answer, but i thought I would add a post that is relevant to dressing up the the display for the benefit of any or all users of the forum who might be interested. Many don't know where those extremely attractive photos come from.

...but I always like to add my own to further personalize my system...
Jeff, please don't take this wrong, but you do know that you can point Vista to ANY graphic file you want and it will use it, starting at the logon screen? I use my pic with the Aussie hat as mine.
Big Al,
From you, I couldn't possibly "take it wrong"!
Yes, I am fully aware that I could use the "Browse" button and grab any file to use. However, by adding my own few customized images to the default folder, I can quickly choose them without having to use the Browse feature. Some may say that's just plain lazy... and, perhaps they are right.
