    Configure Pivot charts using access vba (2003)

    Hi everyone,

    I am having some trouble configuring a pivot chart I have in a subform on an Access database. The chart will change its data source and design depending on the filters and options selected by the user on the main form.

    The bit I'm stuck with is getting the data bound to the right axis. I don't know enough of the sytanx to do this below is what I have figured oput

    Set frm1 = Me.frm_Charts_New_to_Followup.Form
    With frm1.ChartSpace
    .SetData chDimCategories, chDataBound, "Specialty"
    .SetData chDimValues, chDataBound, "New_referrals"
    .SetData chDimSeriesNames, chDataBound, "Specialty"
    End With
    With frm1.ChartSpace.Charts(0)
    .HasTitle = True
    End With

    Does anyone know what options are available, i.e chDimCategories, chDimValues etc etc and what each one does/means.

    Kind Regards

    Gerbil

    I wouldn't use pivot charts in Access, they're a pain in the behind in my opinion. I'd either use a standard chart, or create a pivot table and pivot chart in Excel based on the data in Access (you don't even have to import the data into Excel for this).
