    Extra zeros (2003)

    Hi,

The attached file shows a column for numbers.

When I copy this to a new column & convert it to a 'Percentage' - somehow 2 extra zeros appear!

How can we prevent this or fix it?

    Re: Extra zeros (2003)

The result is entirely correct, for multiplying by 100% is the same as multiplying by 1.

To get the result you want, enter the following formula in C2:

    =A2/100

    and fill down.

Note: it would be nice if you provided feedback to the many replies that you've received. Otherwise, neither the person who replies nor other Loungers know whether the reply was helpful. Thank you!

    Dear Hans,

I wasn't upto date with that protocol.

Thank you, this advice did the job & from now I'll follow the WOPR protocol!
