Map colours to Summary Slide (2003/2007)

    Hi,

The attached excel file has the weather status summary for each part of the UK with Colour legends as indicators.

But when I try to map it to the Summary Sheet, I just get a bunch of zero's.

How can I have the colours matching instead? It should be linked somehow so if I update the Wales sheet, it should automatically update the Summary sheet.

If I understand what you desire (getting the color not the value of the cells) then you can look at MS MVP Chip Pearson's Color Functions In Excel

Well my objective is to get colour somehow. The VBA option is difficult for me.

Is there another way I can achieve the traffic light indicators correctly at the front, somehow?

    Thanks.

You could try using the camera tool, as described in replies to <post:=752,913>post 752,913</post:>

The camera tool is fantastic; can we control the appearance of the object in terms of the bevel.

Or make it snap to a grid for example?

Thanks everyone for your great ideas.

    1) If you hold down the Alt key, any selection that you make (whether for the camera tool or not) will snap to the cell grid.
    2) Click on the camera "picture", then select Format | Picture... in Excel 2003; I assume that Excel 2007 has something similar on the ribbon.
