    sampling data (2003)

    I have data posted every second and I would like to sample that data so that I get a reading every minute; i.e., as if the sampling rate were every 60 seconds as opposed to being every second.

    =IF(MOD(ROW(),60)=0,I2,"") gives me data every minute (60th data point). I can then copy the column, paste/special/value and sort to give me the data set. Is there better way to do this?
    I tried to do a filter for =">0" but I couldn't get it to work.

    thanks.

    I am not completely sure why you are having troulbe.

    Fist when using Auto Filter make sure that both the COL for every 60th and the Col with every Second are both part of the Auto Filter. The just apply Auto Filter to the Col with every 60th and select sort Ascending.'
    Thay should produce the filter data you want.

    Assuming the first row of data is in cell I2; place the following formula in row 2 of any column and paste down for the number of samples you want to extract.

    =OFFSET($I$2,60*ROW()-1,0)
