    Save Report Changes (Access 2007)

For some strange reason I'm not able to save changes to a report when I'm in design mode. I can save changes to forms but not reports. I get the message asking if I want to save when I close the report and when I click yes it doesn't close. I finally have to say no in order to close the report. The reports are on a network drive and I just got a new computer. I use to be able to save reports before the new computer. Not sure why I can save forms and not reports. Any help would be appreciated.

Does this occur in one specific database, or in all databases? And does it make a difference if it's a .mdb database or an .accdb database?

It appears to be other databases too. The only ones I'm working with are .mdb and have not converted them .accdb What's weird is I can save design changes to forms but not reports.

    Thanks,

    Try the Office Diagnostics:
    - Quit all Office applications.
    - Select Start Programs Microsoft Office Microsoft Office Tools Microsoft Office Diagnostics.

If that doesn't help, you may have to uninstall, then reinstall Access.

Have you got a default printer set up for this new computer?

Often problems like this are down to the printer - drivers - or lack of the same.

Did the diagnostics and it only showed the need to update which I did but still have the problem. I might try re-installing Access and will report any solutions if I find one. Thanks for the help.

Re: Save Report Changes (Access 2007)

The printer is a network printer and is set as default. One thing I've noticed when printing in Access the printer doesn't show the same paper tray as set for the default printer. I have to change it each time but it was doing that on the old computer too so wouldn't seem to be a part of this problem of saving design changes. I might have to contact MS and see if they have a solution. I'll report what I find out. Thanks for the help.
