    2003 Outlook/Word Email Template Problem (2003)

    Intent:
Figure out how to remove unwanted template (I guess it’s a template) from coming up upon creation of an email.

    Problem:
Whenever I create a new email message from within either word or outlook it creates it with a custom template I had either created in the past or was created by an add-on. However, when I unselect word as the email editor and create a new email message from within Outlook it is ok, no undesired template. But if a new email is created within word the undesired template remains.

    Notes:
There are no stationary templates selected within outlook-tools-options-mail format.

I've read that Word has an email.dot template, but since I do not use Word to create email messages, I've never gone looking for it. Can you find and rename such a template and, if so, does that make any difference?
