1. ## Time calculations (XP)

I have a time calculation that calculates the transfer time between 2 planes... Arrival airport 1 - departure airport 2.
=(IF(B3>F1,(F1+1)-B3,F1-B3)) However this is when it is on the same day. I must have had a senior moment doing this. <img src=/S/blush.gif border=0 alt=blush width=15 height=15>
As often people arrive on one day and have the transfer one day later.

In cell D7 and D7 are the days

Can someone please help me to change the formula in cell E5, so it incorporates the days.

The spreadsheet attached is very cut down to allow for the maximum size.

Thanks heaps

2. ## Re: Time calculations (XP)

In E5:

=IF(B5>F3,(F3+1)-B5,F3-B5)+D7-D6

Format this cell as [hh]:mm to allow for more than 24 hours.

In F5:

=E5

Format this cell as [m] to allow for more than 60 minutes.

3. ## Re: Time calculations (XP)

As usual that works fantastic !!!!!!!!! Thank you.......

However, in E6 there is a formula that says "if F5 is less then 120, note that transfer could create problems.

Now that I have formatted F5 as minutes, it doesn't recognise the format.

What do I do about that ???

4. ## Re: Time calculations (XP)

Change the formula in F5 to

=E5*1440

and set its number format to General.

5. ## Re: Time calculations (XP)

So easy... Anyway thanks heaps for all your help
