    Delete Drop Down (2007)

How do I delete/hide an imbedded drop down in Excel? I have tried hiding and deleting and have been unable to. It is a drop down that is apparently pointing to a list.

    Thanks

    Perhaps it's Validation.
Select the cell or cells where this occurs.
On the ribbon, activate the Data tab.
In the Data Tools group, click Data Validation.
You'll probably see List in the Allow list.
Click Clear All to remove Validation, then click OK.

The other alternative is that it is an ActiveX control.

    If this is the case:
    Select the Developer Tab
Click on the Design Mode button (to activate ActiveX controls
    Select the control
    Delete

PS: If you do not have a Developer Tab, choose Excel Options in the Office button and select the third check box called: Show developer tab.
