    VBA Named Range ? (xl2000 sr1)

    Hello <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>,

I know how to access a named range in a *closed* workbook...by creating a name in my open workbook with a fully qualified path to the closed workbook's name.

My question: How can I access a named range in a closed workbook using VBA. Do I have to load the workbook into Excel first? I have tried a number of ways but nothing worked.

Yes, I believe the workbook will have to be open to reference the name from VBA.
