    Having IE open automatically (vista)

Is there a way I can get IE to open automatically when I turn on my computer, without my having to click on the icon? Thanks.

You can place a shortcut to IE in your Startup Folder.

To do this, see the steps here: Run a program automatically when Windows starts

The Startup Folder can also be accessed by going here:
Right clicking on the Start button
    Left click on Explore
    Search for Startup

The path: >> C:Usersuser nameAppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart Menu.

You may start getting a blank page or an error page if the connection is NOT made before the startup get started. You can NOT control what is being loaded when. As long as it works be happy, just remember that it MAY not always load.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
