Formula (Excel 2007)

I need to establish a ratio. In one column is # of customers. In the second column I need a formula that will calculate a 48:1 ratio. So in column one, if the number of customers is between 0-48, column two should read 1 and if the numbers in column one are 49-96 the second column should read two and so forth and so on (for every 48 in a group). What formula would I use to create this ratio reading?

    Re: Formula (Excel 2007)

If your numbers are in Column A then you could put
=ROUNDDOWN((A1-1)/48,0)+1

in B1 and drag the fill handle down to fill the rest of column B.
