Weekday, weekend formula problem (2003 SP2)

    Good morning

I have an overtime calendar with headers that change the day (C10:N10,C18:N18,C26:I26) according to a month and year entered into another cell. For the purposes of calculating overtime I need to allow for 3 different rates, these are weekday, Saturday and Sunday hours (C15:N15,C23N23,C31:I31).

For the different hours I have tried to experiment with this formula

    =IF(C10:N10,C18:N18,C26:I26="Sat")*SUM(C15:N15,C23 :N23,C31:I31) – for Saturday O/T

    =IF(C10:N10,C18:N18,C26:I26="Sun")*SUM(C15:N15,C23 :N23,C31:I31) – for Sunday O/T

    =IF(C10:N10,C18:N18,C26:I26="Mon,Tue,Wed,Thu,Fri") *SUM(C15:N15,C23:N23,C31:I31) – for weekday O/T

But I get the #Value! Error result

    Any ideas please

    Cheers

Don't you have the date itself somewhere? That would be easier to handle than the name of the day.

    Hi Hans

The days (1 through 31 according to the onth selected) are static as in the attached exmple, the day headings change according to month/year selection?

    For Saturdays (in M27):

    =SUMIF(C10:N10,"Sat",C15:N15)+SUMIF(C18:N18,"Sat", C23:N23)+SUMIF(C26:I26,"Sat",C31:I31)

    For Sundays (in N27):

    =SUMIF(C10:N10,"Sun",C15:N15)+SUMIF(C18:N18,"Sun", C23:N23)+SUMIF(C26:I26,"Sun",C31:I31)

    For weekdays (in L27):

    =SUM(C15:N15,C23:N23,C31:I31)-M27-N27

    Hi Zeddy

Same as Sunday's, double time, we do however pay a min of 4 hours even if the task takes 15 minutes

    :-)
