Duplicate Office Installations - Remove One (2007)
I have just set up a new Dell PC for home use. I mistakenly ordered it with "Office Home and Student 2007" not realising that this does not include Outlook. The cheapest way to get Outlook proved to be to order "Office Standard 2007" in an Education version (as my wife is a teacher). I assumed that when I installed the Standard edition it would remove or overwrite the Home and Student version but it has not done so.
Can I safely uninstall the Home and Student Edition?
Having done so, should I be able to use this Office (without Outloook) on another machine - if I ever need to? (This is a much less important question than the uninstall method and safety.)

It's probably safest to uninstall Office 2007 completely, then reinstall the Standard version.
If you got the Home and Student edition with your Dell PC, it's an OEM version that can only be used on that specific PC.
