control to open linked form (2003)

Can anyone tell me how to make a control that will open another form that is linked to the record you were in when the macro enabled the control?

What do you mean by "when the macro enabled the control"?

I wanted to put a macro on a field, which after entering the field data, it would open another form for additional info concerning that field data....

I wouldn't put the macro or code on the field itself, for several reasons:
    - Immediate action can be disconcerting to the user.
    - Immediate action leaves no room to correct mistake.
I'd place a command button next to the field instead. The user can click this to open the other form.
The easiest way to create such a button is by using the Command Button Wizard. In one of the steps of the Wizard, you'll be asked whether you want to search for a specific record in the form to be opened, and in the next step you can indicate which fields to use.
