    making a web address clickable

    When I put a website address in a post how do I make it clickable if that is the correct term?

    You can just put <!t><!/t> in front of the web address and <!t>]<!/t> after it.

    For example if you enter <!t>[url]<!/t>www.microsoft.com<!t>[url]<!/t> then it will appear as http://www.microsoft.com

    If you want to add a description then the syntax is like this <!t>[url=www.microsoft.com]<!/t>Microsoft<!t>[url]<!/t> and it will appear as Microsoft.

    And if you want to semi-automate that process, take a look at Alan Miller's StarPost from a few years back. I made two Firefox bookmarks and all I have to do is visit a site, execute whichever bookmark I want and then Ctrl-C. The URL, with or without a description is in my clipboard in proper form to be pasted into a post. Works like a charm

    Here's a text file with a copy of my two. Should save you some typing, but do read Alan's post.

    When you are composing a message, you also have the 1-Click TagPanel option to select and review these.
