    report and group headers (2003)

    Hi All,

    I have a report which has 4 group headers. The first one (0), has some code which makes visible one of the other three headers depending on the value in a field ("treatment type"). The first group header is grouped on a date field (each value of the field "treatment date"). It all works fine, provided there are not more that one treatment on a single day.....something I hadn't forseen...yikes.

    Here is the code in the "treatment date" group header (0):

    Select Case TxType

    Case "surgery"
    Me.GroupHeader1.Visible = True
    Me.GroupHeader2.Visible = False
    Me.GroupHeader3.Visible = False
    Case "radiotherapy"
    Me.GroupHeader2.Visible = True
    Me.GroupHeader1.Visible = False
    Me.GroupHeader3.Visible = False
    Case "chemotherapy"
    Me.GroupHeader3.Visible = True
    Me.GroupHeader1.Visible = False
    Me.GroupHeader2.Visible = False

    End Select

    I've been trying to figure out a work-around, but no luck. I hope this makes sense and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Muchly,
    Van

    I don't see how you can use group headers for this, at least not like you've done it. Instead of 3 Group Headers, you need one based on the Type field. Then in the Format Event for that Header, you need to make controls visible/invisible based on the value of Type.

    Thanks Mark,

    That's a better solution than the way i've been working it and should solve my date problem.
