Correct TOC numbering (2007)
The attached Word file has some styles.
I'm trying to get a format for H2, H3 etc.
Where they are linked to H1
And then incremented as follows:
Consider for example that H1 is 1.
Then H2 should be:
But the Word file attached comes out with the digits reversed; 1.1, 2.1, 3.1 etc
How can I fix this? Thanks.

Re: Correct TOC numbering (2007)
This is not a TOC problem but a numbering problem. It looks like you've applied "normal" numbering to the Heading styles. You should use outline numbering instead:
- Click in the first Heading 1 paragraph.
- Click MultiLevel List in the Paragraph section of the Home tab of the ribbon.
- Select the style that looks like
1 Heading 1
1.1 Heading 2
1.1.1 Heading 3
- Click OK.
You will have to use a non-Heading style for the heading above the table of contents - you could define a custom style for it, or simply use Normal and apply direct formatting.
Then refresh the TOC (select it and press F9).
