File Missing? (XP SP 3)

Hello,
I keep getting the following error on startup and although I've searched and Googled, I can not find a reference to it and I do not know what it is. All help is always appreciated!

XP can not find the file to load during startup. You can use a tool such as Autoruns for Windows to see what XP tries to load. Look at the "Logon" tab for the most likely suspect.

Hello Joe - Good to hear from you again!
I downloaded and ran the program and looked where you suggested and found the information I have attached. What is it telling me and how do I resolve this? Thank you, as always, for your time!

If you remove the check mark it will not be started but you can restore it if needed. Otherwise if you are sure that you won't ever need it, you can delete by selecting the entry and using CTRL+D (Edit Menu | Delete). Or select the entry and then right click and select delete.

The key to that entry is that the file can't be found AND it is in a Temp folder.

I would delete it.
Joe has shown you how to do it.

Hello and Thanks, Joe and Bob!

I tried right clicking the file in question in the Autorun program and it was deleted but upon restart the message appeared again. I ran the Autorun program again and the entry was back under Logon. What did I do incorrectly? Thanks.

(Edited by Citsme on 12-Feb-09 21:50. Additional info.)
Hello Doc!
Yes I do.
In addition, the computer is acting strange. I keep getting the Active Desktop Recovery screen and when I clicked on my favorite to go to the lounge, it started to load and then just went back to the internet page I was on. I made sure the Active Desktop was off and it was but I never had it on anyway. This is the third or fourth time in the last couple of days this has happened.
Suggestions?
Thanks.

IE 7 is having a repeated issue with "Not Responding." When I send the error report, the additional information it provides tells me to go to Update and make sure everything is Updated. It is. This is starting to feel like a snowball . . .

It might be the remnants of a CD creation of an application or other software with an installer.

Have you created anything of that nature with the software ?? Do you have any files waiting to be written to CD that may not have been deleted after the process ??

Re: File Missing? (XP SP 3)

Ooops, Doc - something has come to mind! As you possibly might remember, I am also the person working on my nephew's computer. At the moment, watching it crash but that is another story.
I was copying files on my F: drive to use on his computer. I came to a point when I was ready to write the files (that I know I chose to be written) and they were not there - the contents of the F: drive was blank. I used Nero instead and forgot about it. I looked at it now per your suggestion and it looks like the F: drive is waiting to write files - yet there are no files to write. I decided to add a few files and write them to maybe clear out the problem - that didn't work. Now what, kind sir?
So many thanks.

Re: File Missing? (XP SP 3)

I'd open Nero and see if those files are there waiting to be written.

Re: File Missing? (XP SP 3)

Hello Doc and Stuart,
Again, thank you for your time. Stuart, I followed the path to the CD burning file and it is empty. Doc, I opened Nero but am not sure where to look to see if there are files waiting to be written. I looked in Nero Burning Rom and a couple of other places I'd normally use but didn't find anything. Also, Nero disappeared from the Start Menu; I had to go into the Programs file.
How does Roxio come to play in this? Haven't used it in ages. Seems like I have multiple apps that do the pretty much the same thing.
Outlook and IE7 are still troublesome.
Suggestions?
Thank you for your kindness.
