    Watermark (W 2003)

    Hi

I have a graphic on a word doc I want to use as a watermark.
On my monitor it looks great but when printed looks very bold.
There are two colours , lime green and white, I need the green to look partly transparent and light on the paper.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Dave,

I assume that the graphic is in the header/footer. So:
    - Activate the page header or footer.
    - Click on the graphic to select it.
    - Select Format | Picture...
    - Activate the Picture tab+(if necessary).
    - From the Color dropdown, select Washout.
    - This sets Brightness to 85% and Contrast to 15%, you can play with the Brightness and Contrast sliders to obtain a different effect.
