Right Mouse not work (Access 2007)

I have a legacy database in Access 2007.
I have disable d the Autoexec which merely maximized the Switchboard on opening.
On opening the database now, there is just the navigation pane.

IF I open the database as normal, then the right mouse does not shortcut me to object menu (design, format et cetera)
IF I open the database with shift held down to not activate anything, then right mouse works fine.

The database is not accde nor security protected (yet)

Can anyone direct me to possible areas to check?

I have checked all modules for code running on open - nothing untoward

    Thanks

Open the database with Shift held down.
Click the Office button and select Access Options.
    Activate the Current Database category.
Scroll down to the Ribbon and Toolbar options section.
Make sure that the check box "Allow Default Shortcut Menus" is ticked.
