Install packages don't work anymore (access 2002)

I have several applications that I have deployed over the years on windows 2000 workstations, When I try to deploy them on WIN XP systems I get a vb6 message that it must be NT4.0 sp6 or newer. I have tried to recompile them with the same result, All these apps are front ends linking to a server based back.. I must not be Googleing the right question since I haven't found anything usable yet.
    Thanks in advance
    Doug

What exactly do you mean by "install packages" - are you using a third-party utility to install your databases?

I use the packaging wizard included in Microsoft office XP developer to create a runtime installable application based on an access 2002 front end. MS gives this away for office 2007 but it was expensive back in the office XP days, the office 2007 packaging wizard is very similar to the earlier versions.
