    Red graphics (Publisher XP 2003)

I designed a graphic that is a puzzle piece and want the very reddest red I can make it. Somehow they all look too orange. I don't know what combination of colors will make it as red as possible? I went into Format AutoShape/Colors and Lines/ Fill Color/More Colors/ and the setting is 246/49/3. Is that the best I'm going to be able to do?

    Can someone help?

    Thanks

Pure red is 255, 0, 0, i.e. the maximum value of 255 for red and no green or blue.
If you decrease the 255, the color will still be red but slightly darker.
