Styles for a paperback novel (2003+)

A friend is writing a paperback and asked me if I could make her a Word template that conformed to editor/ publisher requirements for such a manuscript. I have seen many "writer's" templates around, but have no clue as to what the standards are wrt publisher submissions. I'd be writing a custom template, with features from her own wishlist, but would like to find out "correct" specs for page size, margins, spacings etc.

    Anybody know?

    Alan,

I have written stuff for a number of different publishers. They all have their own requirements and there is nothing similar between them! They usually provide a style guide or a template.

Thanks Stuart. I've had similar experience for technical papers etc. but thought maybe there might be something standard (even typical) for a paperback novel. I guess I'll follow the usual organizational principles and that will at least make it easier to adapt to her publisher's requirements.
