Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!

Not a bad idea, actually - sometimes I make myself a mug of tea at work, then get called away, and find that the tea has become much too strong when I return.

I notice that you can set the "alarm" for up to 20 minutes - rather long for tea!

    Hans
I suspect that is for those who like to chew their tea.

    Re: Tea Drinkers

    Great idea.

I like tea, where can I get one?

I think the dial might not be for how many minutes the Penguin will dunk the tea bag, but how many "times" it will dunk the bag.

    "I suspect that is for those who like to chew their tea".......that's funny. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

I for one like to chew my tea.
My old mum used to make it like tar.
My tea bag stays in the cup untill the end.

Hey! My daughter and I built a motorized tea-bag dunker out of Meccano back in 1990.
I could've been rich by now!

Not for some herbal teas - I've known some that require half a day to get any degree of flavour out of them!

Here's just one place: Penguin Tea Timer which seems to give truth to Hans' supposition that it's based on time, not number of "dunks."

    Re: Tea Drinkers

    Thanks Big Al.

Twenty minutes for tea, the water would be cold by the time it was done.

    (Also chew able, crunchy, etc))

But like Lief said, it would be great for those herbal teas, which take so long to work.

We have a store here in town that has teas from all over the world where I buy my favorite tea (Blackcurrant Black) and have never seen anything like the Penguin Tea timer.

    Have one on order.
