Sorting more than 32767 paragraphs (Word 2007)

I have a text file with a large number of paths (folder paths), 40109 to be exact. I was trying to sort them, but it said there was too many. When I try to convert text to table I get a similar error, saying it should be between 1 and 32767 paragraphs. I guess that is a limitation in Word to a table size. I suspect the sorting is running into the same limitation.

Is there any way around this limitation, with or without a macro?

    Thanks!!

I'd copy the information into an Excel worksheet, or save as a text file and open that in Excel.

Excel shouldn't have a problem with sorting 40000+ rows.

    Hans,
I forgot I could open a text file in Excel. I actually started with a text file that I opened in Word.

    This works great!

    Thanks!!
