    Favorites Revisited (2007)

I'm still battling one attorney in our firm who insists he wants to still use his "Favorites." I did add Favorites to the Places Bar (Oh, BTW can I add to my Places Bar if I have Windows Vista?) and he does "hop" to all the folder shortcut he has here, but now the problem is how to ADD a folder to Favorites. What he did in Word Perfect was click on the Favorites Menu and simply right mouse click and pick "ADD." Thanks.

    Yes, you should.

Microsoft is downplaying the role of Favorites for files and folders because it's mostly used nowadays for websites. But you could do the following for the attorney:
    - In Windows Explorer, create a shortcut to his Favorites folder: right-click Favorites and select Send To | Desktop (as shortcut).
    - Rename the shortcut to just Favorites.
    - Move this shortcut into his SendTo folder.
He can now right-click a folder and select Send To | Favorites from the popup menu.

Is this the only way, we can't do it from within Word?

Once you have created the shortcut to Favorites to the SendTo folder, right-clicking a folder and selecting Send To | Favorites should also work in the Open and Save As dialogs of Word.
