Copy Content from One Document to a New One (MS Of

I would like to copy the content only (NOT the Header and Footer etc.,) from one 10 page MS Word document to a new one. Whenever I try to do this, it copies Header, Footers, the lot. I succeed only if I copy page by page, which is so laborious and tedious.

So how can I copy the content only, all in one go?

    Thanks.

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

It depends on whether your document contains section breaks. If not, you can do the following:
    - Press Ctrl+A to select the entire document.
    - Press Shift+left arrow to exclude the final paragraph mark from the selection (this contains the page setup and the headers and footers)
    - Press Ctrl+C to copy the selection.
    - Switch to the new document (or press Ctrl+N to create a new one).
    - Press Ctrl+V to paste.

If the document contains multiple sections, you'll have to copy section by section, taking care not to include the section breaks.
Or copy the entire document, then paste special as plain text, but then you'd lose all formatting.

Thanks very much. I've tried it and it works.

    Thanks again.
