    Searching Word docs (2000)

    I want to create separate Word documents that would contain ideas, journal entries, sections of a book I am writing, etc. I would then like to treat the collection as a database so that I might search and sort, reorganize etc. Does anyone have any ideas about how to go about this?

    I, for one, would need more information for anything more than this:

    Hit File-Open, hit the Tools dropdown and choose Find. Looks like it would be best if your docs were all in one folder.
