    Me again!

If I have a placeholder bookmark in the footer of a document which already has text inserted, is there a way to retain the bookmark but delete the text without having to open the header/footer etc?

    Thanks,

Violet (who is having the very very worst day at work that she can recall in all of her fourteen years of service and is praying someone would just put her out of her misery)

See Inserting text at a bookmark without deleting the bookmark.

This will work with bookmarks in a header or footer without actually opening the header or footer.
