    Thumbs up

    Hi,

Earlier I accidently created two posted (duplicated). It got me searching for if I could manage this mistake myself (being a member an' all)

Anyways, is it possible to delete a thread I created, or for that matter, delete a post?

    TX
    Regards,
    Rudi

Neither is it possible to correct typos in the Subject of a post without the attentions of an Admin.

(Wonder why that is? Presumably MySQL indexes the Subject Somehow?!
Or is it a board option that has not been selected? )

It is indeed a board option. I've changed it so that Loungers can now edit the subject of topics (threads) they started, and can delete their own posts. You cannot delete an entire topic that you started, though.

Note: please use the option to delete your own posts with restraint - it's all too easy to make a thread incomprehensible!

Thanks, Hans - being able to edit Post Subjects will be useful for the typographically challenged among us!

TX for the delete option Hans. I am going to test it in the TEST area.
I want to see what happens when I delete a post, and also see what happens if I delete the first post of a thread...since I cannot delete a thread...this may just leave a blank topic thread?! [shrug]

You shouldn't ever delete the FIRST post in a thread and that's what Hans meant in his comment. No one will be able to understand or make sense (probably) out of the entire thread if you do that. But there's no reason you can't play in the test "sandbox."

Hey, Rudi can do that without deleting posts!

If at first you do succeed, you've probably missed something.
