Has anyone have any experience with Advanced SystemCare Free?
I'm curious as to how it compares with other similar programs but, with a quick Google search, haven't found any reviews.

    Cheers

I need to be careful here in saying this. It's registered (the domain that is) in China and as much, er, let me call it JUNK that I get personally that comes out of China, I'm afraid I wouldn't touch it.

    Al

You may be being a bit harsh, for my contrary example is Easeus Data Recovery and Partition Manager, which seems be be quite well thought of, and originates from China, I believe...

Oh I know you're correct but I can't help myself. As most will know, I use MailWasher as my email front-end and EVERY DAY I see so much spam (or possible virus/spyware?) that masquerades with such legit looking Subjects and From addresses. Yet when I peek at the preview window, the links always seem to come from China and the spyware houses that MailWasher uses seem to think so also.

So, the straw that broke the camel's back for me, so to speak, was when one of my credit cards (big name company) refused to allow any purchases, online or not, from "that part of the world." This may very well be a USA-centric problem but I can't help myself.

In fairness, I think I'll revisit that site and see if I can find somewhere to ask them a question, using one of my throw-away email addresses to see if I get a response that the spyware monitoring houses are blacklisting. Hmmm.....

Ken, I believe John is right about my "harshness!" I went to the site and asked for some info about the Free and Pro versions, so I'll wait to see if I get any emails from them.

Meanwhile, I went around the net as best I could and can't find anything but praise for IOBit as a company and their software either. I even checked the Secunia site just to see if that had issued any zingers and they have not, that I could see.

Just one example is here: Advanced SystemCare Pro 3.1.1 - CNET Download.com

I also noticed on the program's web pages that the Pro version is currently free as well. Wonder why?

    Hi Al

The "Pro" version is 1/3 off right now without a catch. Computer Speed Up| Advanced SystemCare PRO | Speed Up PC Computer
The free "Pro" version is obtained through TrialPay. Get Advanced SystemCare PRO for FREE! - TrialPay

"Try or buy one offer from your preferred brands and get your favorite products—free. TrialPay uses money from the advertiser to pay for your product. It's that easy."

I can't find anything that would prevent me from trying their software, other than that little bird on my shoulder that's telling me to be wary.

    Cheers
