When my boss is trying to copy and paste within a small Word table he receives the error message, "This feature is disabled because it is not compatible with Microsoft Word Document." Doesn't matter if he uses Ctrl+V or right clicks and tries to paste. Nothing works. This document was once a protected form. Would that affect this?

This has happened to him also when copying text from a text library of recommendations we use (also in a table).

Any clues about the root problem? He is using Word 2002. I use Word 2007.

    Thanks!

This is probably a document that has originally been created in an earlier version of Word. Let him try the following while the problem document is open:
    - Select Tools | Options...
    - Activate the Save tab.
    - Clear the check box labeled "Disable Features Introduced after:".
    - Click OK.

I gave that a try on his computer. The check box you mentioned was NOT checked. Any other ideas?

He now says this has been happening fairly frequently. I'll ask him to let me know every time (and which document) so we can get more data.
