    If you go to
    support.microsoft.com/kb/322389/
    Look under More Information
I purchased the CD from Microsoft, there is nothing on the CD. But I found the above site at Microsoft.
    Good Luck

Yes, it does, but you need to have at least SP1 applied before SP3 will install.

You can get it here if needed:
Download Windows XP Service Pack 1: XP SP1 (now called XP SP1a) - 133 MB!

If that's the case, then does one have to slipstream SP1 as well as SP3 when slipstreaming XP now ???

NO. Slipstreaming SP-3 will include everything released with SP-3. If you are just doing an upgrade the target system just has to have SP-1 installed. I believe this is due to a Windows Installer release that happened with SP-1.

See Windows XP - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Also, note that SP-3 is only for 32-bit versions of XP.

As mentioned by several already, service packs are still cumulative; the only difference here is at what level it can be installed. It excludes Windows XP "Gold", so one must have at least SP1.

For some links to MSFT documentation, see for example recent post 762690.

My apologies, I knew what I meant???
When I wrote there was nothing on the CD, the files were. What I meant was there was not a readme file. The site I mentioned explains the options
