    Odd email from Netscape (IE!)

    Hi.

    I received the following email from Netscape today:

    -----Original Message-----
    From: Netscape Registration [mailto:remind@newman.oscar.aol.com]
    Sent: 04 September 2001 13:38
    To: <snip>
    Subject: Information you requested

    Dear User,

    The information that you requested from Netscape is below:

    <snipped password>

    Thank you,

    Netscape Registration

    Now, I don't use Netscape, or AOL. I don't like them. I certainly haven't been requesting a password reminder from them (and the password sent to me was a valid password that I use from time to time, so it wasn't made up). Why did I get it, and can I reply to the reply address to ask them about it, or is that simply an automatic sender?

    Anyone help?

    Stuart

    My guess is that someone else requested a password reminder on your account. For security reasons, it is sent to your *registered* e-mail address.

    Good thing to.
