Over the past month I have upgraded 3 users of MS office from 2000 to 2003 and moved them from Outlook Express to Outlook because their OE folders were getting quite large but they still required all the old mail to be available. The first 2 PCs have XP operating system while the last PC is usig Win2000. After upgrading the last user, I was told that Outlook would suddenly start to close down producing an error message: "Data Files in Personal Folders not closed properly" and then restart. Checking back with the first 2 users, I found that they had experienced similar problems but not as often.
I tried to search the lounge for some info about this but found nothing. Plugging in the error message in MS suggested that scanpst.exe should be tried. This unfortunately did not solve anything.
Would you have some suggestions?

Is Office 2003 SP-3 plus the latest fixes installed? Often with Outlook add-ins contribute to instability. Have you tried disabling any add-ins?
