OE has disappeared from my Start Menu, It was listed right under Internet Explorer. When I clicked Start it was always there. I have been opening it from within Mail Washer for months and just noticed today that it was no longer available individually.

I don't know when it disappeared but I would like to have it back. I tried clicking on msimn.exe and selecting Create Shortcut but that failed.

How do I put it back?

Try dragging msimn.exe to the Start button. Wait (while holding down the left mouse button) until the Start Menu pops up; then move the mouse pointer to (All) Programs and wait until that expands, etc. Drop the icon where you want a shortcut.

Was it in the pinned area or just a Recent entry?

Or do as Hans suggested but instead of dropping it, right click it and select "Pin to Start Menu", and it will be in the pinned area until you delete it from there.

You could also right click on the Start menu, select Properties>Start Menu tab>Customize and then on the General tab, click the "email" box in Show on Start Menu. Then click OPK and Apply on your way out.

Doc, your suggestion did the trick, the OE shortcut if now back where it was originally. I was so surprised to find that it was unchecked, how it got that way is anyone's guess.

The other suggested fixes didn't work because there was no space to drop it into. It landed in the pin to area instead. Your suggestion also removed it from the pin to area on the start menu.

    Thank you so much.

If it is NOT in the "Pinned Area" then you will lose it again when your recents rotates out.

Anything you always want in the Start menu, needs to be ABOVE the upper line in left side if the start menu.

That's exactly where Doc's suggestion put it, it's at the very top of the Start Menu. I knew it couldn't remain pinned, that changes with my MRU's programs. I only allow 3 programs to appear on the pinned list and if I remove one or all a new list appears.

Well if you do NOT allow it to be pinned, then you can expect for it to disappear.
